It's so easy to justify a bad mood; to accept negative thoughts until they settle into an attitude.

But to do so is to assign the day, the week, or the year, to the trash can (rubbish bin, for my fellow English folk).

This particular day has already given me plenty of opportunities to practice turning 'bad stuff' into good... so I start by stirring up the Warrior in me and establishing better boundaries:

I refuse to have a bad day.
I refuse to have a dull day.
I refuse to have a boring day.

Ok, so that's a start, and I've got some energy into the situation by doing this. But now, I realise that I'm reciting all these statements 'in the negative'... so, time to try again...

Despite the weather, today is going to shine.
Despite the provocations, I'm going to act with honour
Despite the lack of progress, I'm going to take continual action in the direction of my dreams

Oh...that's good, I'm smiling again. :-)

I haven’t checked in here for some time as I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are really great quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my everyday bloglist. You deserve it my friend.
